For every comeback
Cleared to exercise. Not sure you trust your body yet.
arc builds twelve-week training programs for people coming back from injury, physical therapy, or years away from the gym. Structured, progressive, and honest about what your body is ready for.
Confidence through intelligent progression.
Rehab ends. Readiness doesn't always arrive with it.
Insurance usually covers a couple of months of physical therapy. Then you're discharged, handed a sheet of home exercises, and wished well. Medically cleared is not the same thing as confident.
Most people in that gap do one of two things. Too little, and stay fragile. Or too much, and end up hurt again.
arc exists for the twelve weeks in between.
Sound familiar?
You finished physical therapy, and the sheet of home exercises isn't enough.
You took a few years off, and your first session back scares you a little.
Every time you get ambitious, you pay for it with a flare-up.
Different stories, same question: can I safely get back to the life I had? That is the question every arc program is built to answer.
How a program works
Not a rehab protocol. Not a generic strength plan. Each program lives in the gap between the two, and runs on three rules.
Patterns first, load second
Twelve weeks in three phases. The first month is deliberately light: movement patterns and control before any real weight. Load arrives once you've earned it, and the final phase builds the confident strength you actually came for.
The readiness check
Before every session, place your day on a simple traffic light. Green, train as written. Amber, shrink the session. Red, rest without guilt. The program adapts to your day instead of pretending every day is the same.
Effort with a ceiling
Every exercise carries an effort cap. You never grind, and you never train to failure. Leaving reps in the tank is not underachieving. Here, it is the point.
And when a bad week happens (they happen), every program includes a flare-up protocol: what to calm down, what to keep, and exactly how to come back.
The programs
Every program is twelve weeks, three sessions a week, written at full trainer depth: complete exercise notes, tempo, effort caps, and the why behind each movement.
Who's behind arc
James and Stephanie Booth. James is the head personal trainer at Life Time Las Vegas, where he leads the training team. Stephanie is a Pilates instructor and the creative half of arc.
Before any of that, they performed with Cirque du Soleil. They know what a body can come back from, because coaching comebacks is their day job.
For physical therapists and chiropractors
Your patients leave your care better. arc helps them stay that way. A structured next step for discharged patients, built to respect the work you did and the restrictions you set.
Partner with arcCommon questions
Do I need to be cleared by my doctor first?
Yes. Every arc program assumes your provider has cleared you for independent exercise, and their instructions always override the plan.
Is this physical therapy?
No. arc starts where physical therapy ends. If you're still in treatment, finish it first. Your therapist's plan comes before ours.
What if I have a bad week?
Every program has a flare-up protocol. You calm things down, keep what still works, and re-enter the program at the right spot instead of starting over.
